- Swedish Massage
- Swedish Massage is the foundation for other
types of Western massage, including sports, deep
tissue, and aromatherapy. Swedish Massage uses
firm but gentle pressure to improve circulation,
ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility,
and create relaxation. Swedish Massage employs
five different movements-long, gliding strokes;
kneading of individual muscles; friction; hacking
or tapping; and vibration.
- Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapy
- This therapy stimulates the flow of lymphatic
fluid, helping the lymphatic system to rid itself
of excess fluids and toxins as well as delivering
nutrients to tissue.
Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage:
- Relieves fluid congestion.
- May strengthen the
immune system.
- Helps the body rid
itself of toxins, which improves overall well
being.
- Works on the nervous
system, which can reduce blood pressure, thereby
reducing stress and improving sleep patterns.
- Hot Stone Therapy
- This is a therapy that uses hot, smooth and
round volcanic stones. The purpose is to melt
away knots, and to relieve stress, pain, and tension.
It also restores balance and harmony.
- Myofascial Therapy
- Myofascial Release is a highly interactive stretching
technique that requires feedback from the patient’s
body to determine the direction, force, and duration
of the stretch and to facilitate maximum relaxation
of the tense tissues. All organs of the body are
covered by fascia down to the individual myofibrils,
therefore all muscle stretching is actually stretching
of myofascial units. The goal of treatment using
Myofascial Release is to facilitate the most efficient
posture and movement patterns the patient can
maintain.
- Cranial Sacral Therapy
- This therapy is a soft and non-invasive technique
that has a direct effect on the brain, spinal
cord, and nerves. It helps relieve nerve and stress
problems.
